January's theme is: time 

This month I made a very simple layout with a photo of Jeff and I from our recent trip to California. I layered some vellum and patterned paper under my photo and used thickers and a pen to create my title.

Layout: Frames

Happy Thursday Everyone!

Today I'm sharing a fun layout I created for a ScrapFreak Freaky Friday challenge. The 'Trends & Design' challenge for this month was to work frames into your layout. I loved how this came out, even if the pictures aren't great. Sorry for the terrible photo quality -- I didn't realize how dirty my lens filter was until I uploaded the photos. Oops :)

After typing up some journaling on my cardstock, I cut out some of the frames from a sheet of Studio Calico/Sassafras paper, ran them straight across the page, and stuck a little polaroid-type picture in with them.

I continued the horizontal theme with the banner at the bottom of the page with a misted canvas trim as well as some washi and a sticker at the top.

This was such a fun spring layout. I really love that frames are making a comeback.

Layout: Notes & Story Time

Not every layout has to be a work of art. 

For me, sometimes its just about putting fun and pretty papers together and having a good time.  

I loved making this layout -- I had a blast cutting out all of the little polaroids and arranging them in a random pattern. I stuck in a picture of a story I wrote for Jeff one night added a bit of journaling and some stamping and all done!
