Hi Everyone!

I'm excited to share my Trinity Paper/Clearsnap project with you. I created a quick and simple layout using the Swim N Surf collection, as well as Colorbox chalk inks and Smooch paint

And here's a closeup of the title. I stamped my title with the chalk ink in charcoal, and painted in the blank area with yellow smooch. The wood veneer arrow is painted with red smooch. I loved working with smooch, it was really easy to add a little bit of color & detail.

Thanks so much for stopping by. You can check out more of my work here on my blog, or on my facebook page

Remember to check out the rest of the great hop projects! Up next is http://sabrinaalery.blogspot.com/

A close up showing the papers. I'm such a sucker for geometric patterns.

A chipboard embellishment covered with paper from the Sincerely collection pointing to my journaling box (a half sticker also from the Sincerely collection).

I really love how the yellow and blue of Swim N Surf coordinates with the grey of Sincerely.

Talk Tuesday -- Time Travel!

Today's Talk Tuesday journaling prompt is up over at the new Creative Soup. Today's prompt talks about time travel.
Where would you travel, if you could go anywhere/anytime? Why?
Is there anyone you would want to meet in particular?
I think I have a couple answers.

The 1960s--I think everything about the sixties was fascinating, the culture, the counter-culture;  I would love to have met Bobby Kennedy.

Revolutionary War Time. By far my favorite time in American History, the ideas that they came up with for the rights of all people are absolutely extraordinary ---and I would have loved to meet Thomas Jefferson and Ben Franklin; perhaps while they were over in Paris--because Paris at the time looked so very very cool.

or perhaps when Cleopatra was in Egypt, and some of her dealings with Rome.  Two incredible empires. There would be just so much to learn and take in!

Where would you go? Who would you talk to? Come join the conversation!

***Just a quick note, the Creative Soup Blog Hop has been extended until midnight tonight, so hop along and see all the awesome projects our creative team has come up with!

Creative Soup Blog Hop!

Hi Everyone!! I'm sorry I've been away for the past week, I've been working on a SUPER HUGE new project!  Creative Soup has moved to a bigger, better, brand new home! We are now located at www.thecreativesoup.com.

Welcome to the Creative Soup’s Spring Forward Blog Hop!

To kick off our new enhanced site we thought it would be fun to have all of our creative team members complete one of the fun Mojo Monday challenges from the first quarter.

I chose the 3.7 Stressed Mojo Monday Challenge. The challenge was:
This crazy whirlwind we call life often comes with it's fair share of stress: Stress from work, stress from family, stress from our selves etc...
For this month's challenge I want you to document how you deal with stress. Do you meditate, have a quiet spot to go think, play a video game, eat, shop etc..? We all have different coping mechanisms, some healthy others not so much. Does your method change with the stress you are feeling (or the person causing it?)
Create a layout on your stress management. Why it works (or doesn't) How you came across it, how it makes you feel. Document and write journaling of at least 40 words to complete this challenge.
Here is my layout:

My other favorite layout from this challenge was from Mara--Isn't her use of misting and those colors just fabulous?

To participate in the blog hop leave a comment for me and follow this link to Jenny!
