A New Year -- ScrapYourself

Happy Monday.

Scrap Yourself has a great New Year's inspiration challenge this week. I broke open my new Studio Calico kit and grabbed those bright papers. I love all the color.

Thanks for looking :)

Scrap Yourself: Change the World

"Change the World"

This week's Scrap-Yourself prompt really spoke to me. Two of my passions are women's rights and the political system.  In tackling a subject like 'Change the World', I really wanted to write something that meant a little bit more to me than your every day journaling. I've also decided that I'm going to try to follow through with this a little bit more on each of my layouts; writing journaling that comes from a deep place inside both my heart and my head.

Here is my layout:

Supplies Used: Kraft cardstock, MME Cloud paper, Studio Calico/AC thickers, Studio Calico number border sticker, Amy Tangerine leaves and washi tape

My Safe Place

A quick update with a new layout. Its the first time I've scrapped 8.5x11 in a really long time. I used the new Studio Calico November Kit: Handmade.

The page was created for this week's challenge at ScrapYourself: Scrap your "Safe Place". I decided that I would scrap the person that I go to, instead of a literal place, when I need to feel safe.

Thanks for looking :)

Nineties Fashion

Hey Everyone!

My first layout is up today over at ScrapYourself. The challenge for this week was to scrap "little me"; so I pulled out one of my favorite photos from when I was younger; a photo of me and my (distant) cousin at our family reunion in 1991.  I just love how we were dressed; nineties fashion was just so much fun.

This makes me want to raid my mom's old photos and see if I can find some more awesome nineties fashion pictures---I think it would make a great mini album.

Exciting News for me!

I've been asked to join the Scrap Yourself design team.

There are a bunch of really awesome women on the team, and we'll be working hard to inspire you to scrap about yourself! My first post will be up on the Scrap Yourself blog next Wednesday--I can't wait to share it with you all.
