25 Tips to Rock Your December Daily

25 Tips to Rock Your December Daily:

Pages
  1. Add holiday confetti to a clear envelope or divided page protector
  2. Add a calendar for the week or the month to show an overview of important events
  3. Create a collage photo page when you have too many pictures to just pick one!
  4. Don't worry about sticking to your prepared page. If you just aren't feeling it, change it up!
  5. Add a pop of color. Pick a bright color or some glittery glitz and use it to brighten up your book.
Photos
  1. Print your photos on textured paper for a different look. Try patterned paper, canvas, etc.
  2. Use holiday décor pictures when you don't have a chance to snap an action picture throughout the day. Wreaths, trees, ornaments, etc.
  3. Use Fat Mum Slim's (or another) Photo a Day prompt to give you picture ideas
  4. Remember to share your pictures and have your friends share theirs as well. Grab pictures from Facebook and Instagram to use in your book.
  5. Make sure to take at least a few photos of yourself. Even shots of your shoes, or your outfit, etc. Try to be a visual part of your December Daily.
Themes
  1. Tags are a great way to play around with extra embellishments whenever you have extra time. Use them throughout your book for a little bit extra excitement.
  2. Add different textures throughout your book. Try using doilies, vellum, washi,  canvas, etc.
  3. Daily numbers are a great way to have a single cohesive theme throughout your book.
  4. Holidays are the best time for anything food-related. Have a Food Friday and document what you're eating each week.
  5. Holidays are also a fun time to get all dressed up! Pick out a couple of days and showcase your favorite holiday outfit.
Journaling
  1. Journal Your Christmas by Shimelle is a great resource for journaling prompts; and it comes with a recurring annual membership!
  2. Resurrect September's 30 Days of Lists to document your December.
  3. Write a letter. Either to Santa, or someone else. Or keep a copy of your Christmas card in your December Daily.
  4. Let someone else tell a story. Have your kids or a friend write down their thoughts (PL Journaling cards are great for this).
  5. Add your notes/lists/ramblings from your day-to-day happenings. Put them in an envelope or add them to a divided page protector.
Embellishments
  1. Keep your supply of December Daily embellishments close by so you don't have to rummage through your stash each day.
  2. A roller date stamp is a great way to keep track of the date if you aren't working on your DD every day (its also super cute).
  3. Washi tape is a great way to add color and texture quickly; and you can easily tape down pictures, journaling boxes, etc to finish up a page in no time at all.
  4. Try sticking to one or two embellishment themes throughout your album. Snowflakes, stars, hearts, deer, etc. Then go wild with all the different varieties!
  5. Feeling crafty? Have a little bit of extra time? Make some fancy embellishment clusters or a jazzed up journaling card.  Pair it with a simple photo and a sentence of journaling to finish off your page
