#30Lists: This Week's Meals

Today the #30Lists ladies and I are joining forces to bring you some awesome listing inspiration for the upcoming 30 Days of Lists Challenge! You can check out more about the challenge in previous posts, or at the #30Lists site.

Our 30 Days of Lists pre-topic is:

Jeff and I are headed up-state for a couple days where we have full access to a grill and a huge amount of outdoor space; so I've planned accordingly.

My menu list is in the 3-ring list book I created last week. I used a similar silhouette cut file on the front cover as I did for this page -- I'll be sharing this cut file (and more) later on this month.

I added some stamping, and a lot of handwritten listing. I've been working on improving my handwriting and listing is very helpful.

I really hope this sneak into the 30 Days of Lists challenge will encourage you to join us. Whether you're a scrapbooker looking to journal more, a list-making junkie, or just a fun person who wants to write a little bit every day, this challenge will inspire you.

Check out everyone else's take on this week's menus.

#30 Lists Registration is Open!

I'm excited to announce that 30 Days of Lists registration is open!!

30 Days of Lists is a month-long project with daily list prompts, awesome inspiration, and a great community. I've been gearing up and I'm excited to start making lists and sharing them with everyone.

The first 100 people who register are entered into a drawing for a Freckled Fawn embellishment kit -- and everyone who registers in the first two weeks will get a chance at some great Kerri Smith books.

Last night I finished up my listing journal -- a 3 ring book where I'll keep my lists (unless I put them in project life), I like using binding rings for any book that I'm going to continually add content to.

The book measures 4.5'x6'. It's made from a Basically Bare 'Oh So Mini'. Originally a 6'x'6 mini album, I trimmed the side down for a more traditional rectangular book.

The top layer is acrylic, covering a sheet of patterned paper that I ran through my Silhouette cameo. Then a hard chipboard sheet and one more cardboard sheet underneath.

I'd like to share this cut with everyone, so here is a link to download the 'lists september 2012' silhouette cut. It measures 4.5x6 inches, but you can manipulate it to the size you need -- and you can also easily eliminate the letters and run this cut for each page in your album!

Please feel free to share this cut as you'd like, please link back to my blog:)

Can't wait to start sharing my lists with everyone. I'll be posting on instagram/twitter every day. Check out my landing page and sign up today!

Two New March Projects

“If March comes in like a lion, it will go out like a lamb.

I'm excited to be working on two new ongoing projects for the month of March.

The first is a Studio Calico class from Maggie Holmes "Happy Little Moments". Its an altered book class, and since taking an altered book class in NYC with Julie Fei-Fan Balzer, I've been wanting to do more.

I altered a book for Jeff for Christmas, and I'll be sharing that later on this month as well.

The second project is 30 Days of Lists: March Edition. I first came across 30 Days of Lists in September, and had fun with the prompts. I'm excited to do it again.

This month I hope to be incorporating some of my lists into Project Life, I think they'll be a perfect addition to the pages. I've been trying to add a little more 'random me thoughts' type stuff.

Is anyone else also doing either of these projects? Leave me a link, I always like having more inspiration for a project!

30 Days of Lists

Journaling is one of the more important aspects of my crafting.  I love to tell stories and get emotions out on paper.  When I saw the class '30 Days of Lists', I had to jump right in. The object of the class is to get you to write every day, whether its a full art journal page/scrapbook layout, or just a little post-it note.

Ironically enough, I had already created the shell of a mini-book for this exact purpose--random notes and lists that I wanted to write down. So when I picked up the class, I thought it would be the perfect book to use. Its made out of two sheets of canvas board which I painted with mist, stamped, and added some misted trim to. It is binded with three binder ring holes so that I can insert pages as needed.

The first prompt was September's Goals, which is something I've been thinking about a lot lately.  As summer is winding down, I really feel the need to get back into more of a routine. For this page  I used a vintage timesheet as my base, and washi taped around the edges. On the front I glued down a Maya Road September sheer calender spot, placed some Studio Calico Fab-rip over it, and added some thickers for my title. On the back I just wrote my journaling in a list format with arrows.

Anyone else playing along with '30 Days of Lists'? I'd love to see what other book concepts people are coming up with.
