Today I'm sharing my take on this week's
Document Life Workshop challenge:
Document What You Eat.
I'm using the Document Life Workshop weekly challenges to push me to include more documentation in my
Project Life book. For this week's challenge I chose to take a 3x4 photo (project life size) and journal my thoughts directly on the photo in the empty space.
Now I can slip this card directly into my Project Life spread and be done. I love journaling directly on photos, its a big time saver -- and I think it gives it a really personal touch. I use a sakura microperm pen (permanent with a nib tip) to write on my photos. It's acid-free, permanent, and doesn't smudge at all.
Check out the entire
Document Life Workshop Challenge for more inspiration and a brand new template for documenting your favorite recipes.
I'm so in love with this little card! Can't wait to see how it'll fit in amount its fellows :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a great take on the challenge! I need to get better at leaving white space in my photos for journaling. Thanks for the inspiration!
ReplyDeleteI'll have to check out those pens. I use a sharpie for all my journaling right now.
ReplyDeleteI do this in my project life all the time, I love the look of writing on photos! I use a sharpie pen though, I think it works pretty much the same :)
ReplyDeleteNeat take on this challenge ! Love that you'll be able to use it in your PL !
ReplyDeleteThanks! I'm gonna try to do a PL type take on all the DLW challenges :)
ReplyDeleteLinda -- it works exactly the same. The only positive to the microperm pens is that it comes in a .01 and a .03 not just the .05; but it also only comes in black -- not the cool sharpie colors
ReplyDeletethey're my go-to pen right now. I'm a huge fan :D
ReplyDeleteYou're so welcome! I made a specific effort to leave some space in my photos and now it comes a little more naturally :)
ReplyDeleteme too; if I can ever finish PL :)
