I've been selected as a Basically Bare DT finalist and they are sponsoring this fantastic giveaway. You can check them out at www.basicallybare.com and you should definitely head over and like their facebook page for really great inspiration.

I was immediately drawn to their embellishments. I love adding little accents to layouts and these are just so versatile. You can customize them in so many different ways -- ink them, paint them, emboss them, doodle on them. The options are limitless!

They would also be absolutely perfect for Project Life. I've been blogging my journey through Project Life since January; here's a link to my previous PL posts. Here are a few of my favorite products and a couple of different ways that they would be perfect for those little Project Life pockets

Acrylic Chipboard and Felt Pieces - Celestial Shapes:

These would be perfect for adding to those pockets that just have some coordinated patterned paper. Because you can customize these with paints and inks, they will match any color you need. Stars are awesome because they are gender-neutral and can illustrate either excitement or relaxy time -- super versatile. I've been such a sucker for stars lately, they're the best little shape to stick down all over the place.

I've also really been meaning to create more 'weather' pages to document "Today's Weather" and the weather forecast for the entire the week. Living in NJ we get the best of all four seasons, so it'll be really great to document how the weather is affecting the rest of what is portrayed that week! The sun and the clouds would be absolutely perfect. I really like products that double in purpose.

Acrylic Chipboard and Felt Pieces - Birds:

Okay, I saw these and I immediately thought these need to be used to document Twitter stuff. I use twitter constantly, between scrappy twitter and news twitter I'm checking it more than I check my email. It would be awesome to get an iPhone screenshot of my twitter feed --- or a fun tweet by itself. This is a screenshot from yesterday that I'm definitely going to include this week. Check out my twitter feed here

There's even a little tweet bird in the Project Life photo above -- I'm a fan of the little tweet bird as a cute added embellishment to some journaling.

Chipboard Pieces - Paparazzi Set:

I think these would be great for all of those random self-portraits I seem to take (okay, I love to take). Add one of the cameras to a pocket, or stick a couple little pictures in those film strips. Jeff and I send silly pictures back and forth all the time, and it would be great to get more of those into my book.

I could see that little black camera right next to this photo instead of the journaling. I tend to leave a bunch of self-portraits out of my Project Life books because I don't have a good story to go with them. These cute camera embellishments would be the perfect compliment to a random self-pic.

Check out my Project Life pinboard for lots more PL inspiration. I've already pinned my new favorite products :D

Remember that any fun Project Life technique can easily be translated to both layouts and cards.
